5 books to read this summer

34

I'm going on summer holidays very soon and my absolutely favourite thing to do is relaxing at the beach and reading a very good book. So if you're like me and you're about to leave for your summer holidays, that blog post might give you some inspiration x

1. Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

Seriously, who doesn't love his books? Safe Haven is about a girl who flees from her violent ex and tries to start a new life in a small town of Southport. She finally manages to let her past behind her and even falls in love. Things seems to brighten up for Katie but her past still haunts her and it turns out that she can't hide forever (I don't want to give too much away).
I really enjoy Nicholas Sparks' style of writing and the intensity of emotions displayed in his novels. Safe Haven definitely is a page-turner and contains a message I personally really liked. Nicholas Sparks illustrates that you can find love and peace even at your darkest moments in life and that it's important to have hope. Safe Haven is a romantic as well as a thrilling novel and if you're into that sort of books you might really like this one.

2. One Day at a Time by Danielle Steel

One Day at a Time is about a dog walker named Coco who has fled her legendary family in Hollywood. When her sister asks her to house-sit her luxurious home in San Francisco Coco agrees and soon discovers that her life is about to change completely when she meets an unexpected houseguest whose life couldn't be more different to hers...
One Day at a Time tackles the problems of fame and the clash between two worlds that appear to have nothing in common. It shows that love can overcome most obstacles and that we're all the same deep down, no matter if we're a famous superstar or a dog walker.

3. Bared to you by Sylvia Day

If your enjoyed reading Fifty Shades of Grey, then you are going to love the Bared to you Series. Bared to you is about a woman called Eva who starts a new life in New York City. She there meets a powerful and wealthy young man called Gideon - their attraction is immediate and they start a passionate relationship. But both of them are haunted by a dark past which seems to drive them apart..
Bared to you is a thrilling novel which shows that some wounds can only be healed by love. If you love reading books like Fifty Shades of Grey then Bared to you will definitely be your thing.

4. Matters of the Heart by Danielle Steel

A novel about the dangerous side of love. It deals with a top photographer who finally got over a tragic loss in her life When she meets one of the world's most famous writers she is blown away by his charm and they soon start a passionate relationship. Hope begins feeling suspicious when she discovers gaps in his history and lies he has told her and suddenly isn't sure if she can trust the man she loves.
Matters of the heart is about the dangers of obsessive love and illustrates how a person can change your entire life- for the better and for the worse. It's a thrilling novel showing the darker sides of love and humanity.

5. One Summer by David Baldacci

One Summer is about a father suffering from a terminal disease. He writes letters for his wife hoping they would give her some comfort after he will pass away. Then a tragic accident happens and suddenly things are changing dramatically ...
I don't want to give to much away at that point. One Summer is a fascinating novel showing that life never turns out as expected and that there is always hope - even your situation seems completely hopeless. One Summer is one of the most emotional and inspiring books I've read so far, I'm sure you will love it.

Have fun reading and enjoy the rest of the summer x

Love,

Mira
